Orchard Coffee is a local favorite located in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville, North Carolina. The home of this local coffee shop and roaster is an iconic Art Deco style building, now preserved and catering to coffee lovers of all types.
Today, we find the shop filled with college students from near-by Western North Carolina University and Haywood College. They are all huddled in conversations or diligently peering into their laptops with a coffee of choice at their side.
Award Winning Mountain Coffee
Owner, Cabell Tice, is a a three time Latte Art Award Winner. Tice has taken his art form and expanded it’s reach by opening up Orchard Coffee in 2019. The baristas here take their craft as seriously as the owner of this coffee masterpiece. Their lattes are meticulously made with two-shots espresso and a generous amount of steamed milk, which is then lightly topped with a thin layer of micro-foam. Their Cortados, Macchiatos and Pour-overs are equally as impressive. Ah… the simple pleasure of a well made ‘cup of joe.’
Re-branding Steamline to Orchard Coffee Roast
Tice is also known regionally for his Steamline Coffee Roast, which is featured in many local North Carolina Coffee Shops. Steamline Coffee Roast is being re-branded to reflect its original tie to the Orchard Coffee Shop, and it will soon be sold under the Orchard Coffee Roast brand name.
