The Coffee Shop has become our modern-day forum. A place where all people are welcome and all opinions are voiced. Like yesterday’s “Penny Universities,” it is a place for academics, artists, and intellectuals to share ideas. Where business deals and revolutionary ideals take flight. Only better!

Much better! We are no longer swathed in the garb of the 1700 and 1800’s. Women championed; got out of the house, and into the coffee house! We are no longer burdened by archaic and limiting mid-sets. Our collective consciousness has been elevated. The coffee house has become the think-tank of modern society, and simultaneously, it’s safeguard.

Now, let’s chat a bit about the quality of the drink itself. Espresso… Impresso! I contend that coffee technology has come a long way baby. God love the Italians for improving the espresso extraction method post World War II, and for Starbucks pushing the entire World into an expansive future. Where, people now meet daily in coffee shops to launch nearly every aspect of their lives.

Yet, the Indy Coffee Shop Movement currently sweeping the globe is the true draw. Entrepreneurs of every gender, race, color, and philosophical persuasion weave an exquisite tapestry of culture, history, place and people that proves to be as individual as the shops they’ve opened.

AND… it’s all wrapped up in one great cup!
